Marilou Bourdages, Université Laval
CCEA is pleased to announce that Marilou Bourdages, a Master’s candidate with l’École supérieure d’aménagement du territoire et de développement régionalde l’Université Laval (Québec) is the second recipient of the Stan Rowe Home Place Graduate Award. The Award was originally established in 2006. Marilou was selected from a field of 13 applicants from across the country and covering a diversity of interests in protected areas design and management. Marilou’s research, which is being supervised by Dr. Claude Lavoie will focus on ” la flore vasculaire du parc national québécois de l’Île-Bonaventure-et-du-Rocher-Percé”. We look forward to hearing about progress on Marilou¹s research at the next CCEA AGM/Conference scheduled for Quebec City for September 17/18, 2008.
The applications for the graduate award were reviewed by a committee consisting of Dr. Joyce Gould, Alberta Parks, John Vandall, CCEA Treasurer and Dr. Rob Wright, Saskatchewan Environment.
The deadline for the next round of applications for the Stan Rowe Home Place Graduate Award is December 15, 2008.
