Congratulations to Larissa Thelin, MSc student working at the University of Alberta on being awarded this year’s Stan Rowe Home Place Award!

Working with Dr. Andrew Durocher, Larissa’s thesis will focus on understanding the potential impacts of climate change on the habitat range of the Davis Strait subpopulation of polar bears. This subpopulation is largely understudied, in comparison to many others, and its spatial ecology is currently unknown.

We wish Larissa the best of luck with her studies.
